1: Do I have to pay for the registration on your website?
Registration on our website is Free of Charge.

2: Do I have to pay any additional fee to engage a tutor?
No, there will not be any additional fee. We only charge 50% commission from the tutor's first month pay.

3: What levels do you cover?
We cover all primary school, secondary school and junior college levels. In addition we have music and language teachers too.

4: Can I choose my tutor?
You can specify your requirements, and we will do our best to find the best match for you.

5: How long will I get a tutor after the online registration?
Upon receiving your Online Registration, our coordinator will get back to you within 24 hours or less by email, SMS or call. Normally, it will take about 2 days to shortlist the best tutors to meet your requirements. Once confirmed, you may arrange the commencement date of the lesson.

6: Do I get to decide the date and time of the tuition?
Yes, the date and time is entirely up to your decision.

7: Can I request to change the tutor if I find he/she is not suitable for the job?
Yes, definitely. You may request for a change in tutor at any point in time if you are not satisfied with them. However, you are required to pay the fee equivalent to the number of lesson rendered prior to termination. A replacement of tutor will be free of charge.

8: Do you have trial session?
There is no trial lesson but you may replace or terminate the tutor anytime if you are not satisfied with them.

9: Is Rainbow Tuition able to arrange group tuition for my child?
Yes, our tutors offer both individual as well as group tuition. Just let us know how many students there are in the group and we will recommend you a suitable tutor. The rate per student is usually lower than that for individual tuition. However, in one-to-one tutoring, the tutor can give undivided attention to the child.

10: Can I request to see the tutor's qualifications?
Yes. Rainbow Tuition assigned tutors are required to bring their original copy of their qualification to show parents upon request.

11: How can I be sure that the tutor is not fraud giving false information about his/her qualifications?

12: Besides filling up the online form, is there any other ways for me to get a tutor from you?
You are welcome to call us at 8362 7207 for more enquiries from Monday to Sunday, 2 pm to 11 pm.

13: Can I negotiate the fees?
Yes, you can specify your expected rates; we will inform you if there is a match.

14: When do I need to make the payment?
Payment collection will be done after the second week of the assignment by bank transfer or cheque. Please click HERE to go to Payment Method for more details.

15: Who do I make the payment to?
Payment will be made to Rainbow Tuition (Click HERE for more Payment Method details) after 50% of the first month's lessons, which is usually the 2nd week after the commencement of the lessons. Subsequently all payments will be made directly to the tutors.
* Please Note that Tutors are not authorised to collect the payment on behalf of the Agency without the agency's approval.

16: How much commission does Rainbow Tuition charge?
We will charge 50% of the 1st month's tuition fee as commission from the tutors. Parents/Students do not have to pay any charges.

17: When I refer students/parents to you, how much referral fee will I receive?
For each successful referral, you are entitled to a 30% commission of the first month's agency fee.

For instance, the student tuition fee is $480, Rainbow Tuition's Agency will be (50% x $480) = $240 and you will receive (30% x $240) = $72 for referring that student to us.

1: What is the requirement for registering as a tutor with Rainbow Tuition?
As long as you are 18 year old and above, who is a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident or foreigner with a valid working or student pass.

2: Does Rainbow Tuition charge for registration?
No. Registration is FREE HERE. We only charge 50% of your first month pay as agency fee. This is a one time off commission. You will receive the full 100% of your tuition fees in the subsequent months.

3: Is there a minimum qualification to be able to register as a tutor with Rainbow Tuition?
Yes. You should have a minimum qualification of a diploma or an 'A' Level certification. This is to ensure that all our tutors are able to provide quality tuition to students.

4: What are the fees like and where are the lessons held?
The fees are decided by the customer, but Rainbow Tuition will try to advice the customer to follow our listed rates. Rainbow Tuition will also open to negotiation between tutor and customer. Until both parties derived a rate that both parties are willing to accept. The place will be decided by the customer, for most cases it will be at the customers' house.

6: How much commission does Rainbow Tuition charged for the 1st month and when do I get my 1st months commission?
Rainbow Tuition charges 50% of your first month's pay from the assignment(s) you receive from us as agency fee. This is a one time off commission. Hence for the first month, you will only get 50% of your pay. You will only receive the full 100% of your tuition fees in the subsequent months. You can negotiate the frequency of the payment with the customer once the customer confirms your service.

7: How can I assure that my personal information is kept in privacy?
Rainbow Tuition will not sell or disclose any personal information for commercial benefits.

8: Can I choose my students?
No. You can apply for the available assignments but Rainbow Tuition will shortlist and assign the tutor best suited for the tuition request by the customers.

9: I have registered with Rainbow Tuition for quite some time. Why have I not be given any assignment?
In the tuition market today, there is a bigger supply of tutors as compared to the supply of assignments available. Thus priority is given to verified and certified professional tutor with decent track records.

10: How do I get verified and certified?
Prepare scanned copies of your certificates. Rainbow Tuition will request an email of your certificates when you are shortlisted for an assignment. You only need to send ONCE to admin@rainbowtuition.com and you will be verified for subsequent assignments. You will become a certified professional from positive parent's feedbacks.

11: Why must I email Rainbow Tuition, scanned copies of my certificates upon request?
Rainbow Tuition will like to verify your qualification as Rainbow Tuition is a reputable Tuition agency that aims to provide the best, reliable and qualified tutors to our customers.

12: Do I only register with Rainbow Tuition when I am free to teach?
No, you can register with Rainbow Tuition first but you need to state in the tutor registration form that you are unable to teach immediately. When you are free to teach, you can always give us an email or call or SMS of notice.

13: Can I reject an assignment?
Yes. You can always reject the assignment if it doesn't fit in your schedule.

14: What happens if my new student's parent(s) decides to replace me before the end of the first month?
We will only accept the parent's request for a replacement should we feel it is fair to both sides and in the best interest of the student. Should we finally decides to accept this request, the tutor will have to forego the pay for the first lesson if the parent raises the request before the second lesson.

However, if the parent raises the request after the second lesson, payment will be made based on the number of lessons covered. Within the first month, the tutor is still obliged to return 50% of this payment to Rainbow Tuition as agency fee.

15: What if I want to cancel the tuition within the first month?
Should you wish to cancel, you will have to inform Rainbow Tuition. You may then negotiate with the parent/student on the payment terms. You will still be obliged to return 50% of the payment to Rainbow Tuition for any payment made for the first month

2: How much commission can a referral earn?
You will get 30% of the first month's agency fee from the assignment that you referred, strictly upon successful match. Please note that an administrative fee of $0.50 will be deducted from the referral commission for each successful match.

Here is an example of how your profit sharing is calculated:
Monthly Tuition Fee For Student A = $480
Rainbow Tuition's Agency Fee = $240
Referral Commission: (30% X $240) = $72
Administrative Fee = $0.50
Your Final Commission: $72 - $0.50 = $71.50

3: When do I receive my commission?
Upon a successful match, you will be eligible for 30% of the first month's agency fee from the assignment that you referred and you will receive it after the second lesson of the successful match.
